Worked predominately in the round, short rows add shaping to Hedwig’s chest area, while stitches are picked up and knit to create the legs and head. The tops of the wings are worked in stockinette stitch and the bottom is ribbed with a row of scallops made diagonally across the bottom edges.
Hedwig's wings and tail feathers extend beyond the body to provide balance, while the legs support her weight. All pieces are stuffed at the end; safety eyes and an embroidered beak add detail to this cuddly snowy owl.
